Flags is a spatial map for local life.

An 'Impressionist City' that captures how our surroundings feel, not just how they look. You'll discover events and places as "flags" planted by creators. Find one that inspires you, step outside and experience it in person. There, you can collect unique digital artifacts — a concert poster, a gallery piece, or the story from a reading. These artifacts build your personal board of city memories, an authentic way to show who you are and connect with others.

For those who shape our city — from museums and festivals to neighborhood initiatives — Flags gives you a living home on the map — a digital stage for your space and offerings. Without ads, reach people where they are, in the moments that matter, turning a passerby into a visitor, and a visitor into part of your community .

Our core innovation puts the city in your pocket. This means you can explore it offline on the U-Bahn, fly between districts without loading times, and own what you collect. We believe only you should hold the keys to your local life.

On top of the plethora of data sources we synthesize, architectural styles are analyzed to uncover the underlying principles that make certain era of houses “feel” the way they do. Rather than just blindly copying houses to get their look, we capture the spirit of the architectural era in its most reduced form, resulting in a recognizable and familiar representations of the houses.

As Nobel prize winner Orhan Pamuk states: “the habit of collecting, of attachment to things, is an essential human trait.” Flags’ artefacts are collectible digital items that hold information about the places you visit. By physically going to the places you “claim” these artefacts in your personal collection, which acts as a visual representation of your experiences in the city.

As a business, you can turn the information you present to your visitors such as menus, daily deals/offerings, tickets, venue images, event posters, news/updates, etc... into engaging, haptic, and collectible artefacts. Users collect these artefacts to remind them of your business and/or your offerings and can permanently claim them into their personal collection (through physical visits) where they then live as memoribilia of their time at your establishment: passive advertisement with an emotional attachment.
